   Really, I have no idea where this series is going, though it does seem to be leaning toward, as in the title of the photo at the top, an "adventure series."  Perhaps this is the book cover without the book - the idea of conveying some sort of story is there, but the constraints of the covers' size is missing.  ANYway, another example of experimenting with this 'n' that which led to a furthering of notions and finally became a fully-fledged idea.

Of Lady Gray, the first picture was, while not quite a failure, not up to the (ahem) standard that I had established for myself, and so I looked back at the photographs taken and moved on to produce what here is Approach at the End.  That wound up being much more satisfying and a lot more involved in production than anticipated - I just kept thinking "Oh - I could do this --- " and the result is above.

Party - Interrupted was spurred by a similar impulse: during the session for Adventurer's Portrait and A Smoke Break were photos that 

included the more dramatic pose with the cane.  Almost immediately the notion of a figure in - dare I use such wording? - counterpoint and as the project continued I got more ambitious.  I think this one has more people in it that any of my others.
