Fall Foliage: Friendship
An appropriate title, with my friend Ken there. South Winebiddle Street.

Up on the Mount: Ruxton Street
At the time I took this photo, November 2 of 2014, it had been just over 10 years since moved in here. In mid-October of 2004 I took up residence with the brother of a friend at 420 Ruxton Street, the second house in from the right in this image. Mike, the brother, was living on the second and third floor of the old family home while stripping the first for refinishing. I helped out with stripping plaster and lath off the studs.
The story I was told was that back a hundred years ago or so two Italian families moved up on the Mount and built paired houses. The floor plans mirrored, and the windows that faced each other matched position so the wives could chat across the walk-way in between.
Driving by here that day I had to shake my head when I thought "10 years?! Where does the time go?"
"And then one day you find 10 years have gone behind you:
no one told you when to run; you missed the starting gun."
