This image had its beginning in the background star field. It was a photograph I had taken of the paint deck I worked on in New Jersey. I was playing around with Photoshop image filters, fiddling with hues and saturations, and then adding distant suns. After that, it was "Hmm, what else? Oh! How 'bout --" and so the leaves, the figure, the beams of light through fog.
Originally the sky was in blues and purples, but I was "inspired" by a song on the soundtrack for the movie The Informers:
"In a Scarlet Sky." I like that song, and decided that this sky could be in reds and purples, too.
