headed for Harrisburg.
It's true apparently: cat's lay in the sun in windows. At least this cat does! Cat gravity anyone? Anyone?
Test Shot for Book Three:
Setting up the session for the third Fiona Rodeweil novel, there were some test shots to see how the light played. This one I rather liked all by itself.
Fauna at Fall Creek: yeah, this one could have gone on the Fall Creek page, but that page is long enough as it is, so this butterfly gets to sit here instead.
As happened with the goldfinch below, I looked up at a tree, and saw a squirrel sitting there - and since it wasn't going anywhere, I took a photo.
A couple "dirty portraits" of Rachel. There's this look "out there" in the photo-world that I'm attracted to for I don't know why, but it frequently includes an industrial or grungy background of some kind, and flaws or the appearance of flaws to the surface. While the finished images require a fair amount of "manipulation" to achieve this look, these don't exactly fall in the "fantasy" category.

During one of the sessions for the Maelstrom series, Rachel did a number of poses that would never actually be used for the book covers but were simply for the enjoyment of doing them, as also seen in The Model Dreams in Direct Inspiration.
After looking over a book cover in the science fiction section the other day, I came home and played around with different coloration and textures on this image.
Just passing by one morning I looked up and said "That bird isn't flying away - and I have a camera!" Subsequently I have a photograph of a goldfinch.
Sometimes I get busy and make Christmas cards. The card image at top I crafted in 2011. I had just finished working on the truck in time for the holidays, and thought I'd add a touch of whimsy (or something) to the card instead of the more ordinary trees and snow.
This second image I did in 2007, not long after I had purchased a camera and had started doing the photo editing. The notion was doing Christmas in the South of France. For one of those "early works" I guess it turned out alright.
In the Granville Sand Barrens: another site, like Fall Creek Gorge, that has been preserved for posterity. In this case the Niches Land Trust has kept a 22 acre area more-or-less true to a type of dry prairie in Tippecanoe County. It, along with a few other sites like it across this and other states are homes for the flora and fauna that would have been common to North America before man's expansion and development, with very small lots for cars just off the adjacent road, and little or nothing in the way of trails. Just plants and birds and rocks and things. Sand and hills and rain.
